Both the Medicine Hat Mavericks (10-5) and the Moose Jaw Miller Express (7-8) put runners aboard on Wednesday, but it was the Medicine Hat Mavericks that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 7-4 win at Athletic Park.

Bryan Arthur paced the Medicine Hat Mavericks at the plate. Arthur went 3-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the first and third innings and homered in the fifth inning.

Logan Lippert had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the third inning, singled in the seventh inning, and homered in the ninth inning.

Andrew Shoemaker recorded his second win of the year for the Medicine Hat Mavericks. He allowed three runs over seven innings. He struck out four, walked none and surrendered nine hits.

Tyler OBryant (2-1) took the loss for the Moose Jaw Miller Express. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked three and struck out one.
