The North Adams SteepleCats make the most of 6 hits in 3-2 victory over the Danbury Westerners

The North Adams SteepleCats (6-3) and the Danbury Westerners (3-5) both had scoring chances on Friday, but it was the North Adams SteepleCats that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 3-2 win at Rogers Park.

The fact that the North Adams SteepleCats grouped all of their runs into the second inning helped them take advantage of their hits.

The North Adams SteepleCats held off the Danbury Westerners, as the Danbury Westerners were unable to overcome a three-run second inning deficit.

The Danbury Westerners scored two runs in the fourth on a two-run home run by Andrew Garner. Despite their efforts, the Danbury Westerners couldn't finish the comeback.

Shane OConnell racked up two RBIs on one hit for the North Adams SteepleCats. He homered in the second innings.

The North Adams SteepleCats relied on Chris Bielak to eat up innings en route to the win. Bielak pitched six innings and allowed two earned runs, six hits and one walk while striking out five.

Brett Houseal couldn't get it done on the hill for the Danbury Westerners, taking a loss. He lasted just eight innings, walked one, struck out eight, and allowed three runs.
