The Holyoke Blue Sox cough up lead, the New Bedford Bay Sox win 7-5

Down four runs in the second, the New Bedford Bay Sox (5-3) recovered thanks to Brian Eggleston's error in the seventh, and pulled out a 7-5 win over the Holyoke Blue Sox (5-5) on Friday at MacKenzie Stadium.

With the score tied at five in the seventh inning, reached on an error, bringing home Brendan OBrien and Zach Stone.

Eggleston was hot from the plate for the New Bedford Bay Sox. Eggleston went 1-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the third inning.

Sean Riley did his best to jumpstart the offense for the New Bedford Bay Sox, reaching base three times. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

The Holyoke Blue Sox were led by a flawless day at the dish by Phil Mosey, who went 3-3 against the New Bedford Bay Sox's pitching. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the third and eighth innings.

John Lieske improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the New Bedford Bay Sox. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Jack Shannon couldn't get it done on the mound for the Holyoke Blue Sox, taking a loss. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
