The Terre Haute Rex (18-14) blew out the Danville Dans (10-23) 11-4 on Thursday at Bob Warn Field at Sycamore Stad after pouring on seven runs in the second inning.
Kyle Zimmerman paced the Terre Haute Rex at the plate. Zimmerman went 3-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He tripled in the second innings and singled in the fifth and eighth innings.
Tommy Strunc got the win for the Terre Haute Rex thanks to seven strikeouts. Strunc allowed three earned runs, five hits and two walks over seven innings.
Adam Casson paced the Danville Dans at the plate. Casson went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He tripled in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning.
Bobby Ruse couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Danville Dans, taking a loss. He allowed eight runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked three and struck out two.
