Josh Dove was cold coming off the bench, but Dove warmed up quickly as Dove stroked a key pinch-hit single in the nine to lead the Terre Haute Rex (36-20) to an 11-7 win over the Springfield Sliders (22-34) on Thursday at Robin Roberts Field.

With the Terre Haute Rex trailing by one in the ninth inning, Dove came to the plate and singled.

Kyle Kempf racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Terre Haute Rex. He singled in the first, ninth, and twelfth innings.

Jacob Hayes racked up three RBIs on four hits for the Terre Haute Rex. He singled in the fourth, seventh, ninth, and tenth innings.

Dove recorded his fourth win of the year for the Terre Haute Rex. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered five hits.

JD Dozier (1-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked five, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
