Ingold's single gives the Springfield Sliders walk-off win over the Hannibal Cavemen, 9-8

A walk-off single from Jake Ingold brought home the winning run for the Springfield Sliders (9-16) in a 9-8 victory over the Hannibal Cavemen (13-12) at Robin Roberts Field on Tuesday.

Ingold racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Springfield Sliders. He tripled in the fifth inning and singled in the second and ninth innings.

Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 17 total runs and 24 hits during the game. Both bullpens were busy with nine pitchers used in the game as the skippers of both squads tried to finish it off.

The Springfield Sliders got their bats going early, scoring three runs in the first inning to pull ahead of the Hannibal Cavemen.

TR Dunne improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Springfield Sliders. Dunne struck out one, walked none and gave up one hit.

AJ Martin (0-1) took the loss for the Hannibal Cavemen. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
