The Lorain County Ironmen (9-23) built an early lead against the Slippery Rock Sliders (11-21), scoring three runs in the first inning, en route to a 9-6 win on Wednesday at Jack Critchfield Park.

Nathan Antone got on base four times in the game for the Lorain County Ironmen. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fifth and seventh innings.

Zach Looney had a hot bat for the Slippery Rock Sliders. Looney went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He homered in the first inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Mattius DeDoes got his third win for the Lorain County Ironmen despite allowing five runs over five innings. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered six hits.

Ben Rawding (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked one and struck out two.
