The Butler Blue Sox (5-5) were never able to get over the hump and get over their troubles against the Slippery Rock Sliders (3-6) on Tuesday, as the Butler Blue Sox fell 3-2 at Jack Critchfield Park after falling behind by two runs in the fifth inning.
The Butler Blue Sox scored one run in the seventh on a solo home run by Christopher Rasky. Despite their efforts, the Butler Blue Sox couldn't get over the hump.
Ryan Abernathy had a hot bat for the Slippery Rock Sliders. Abernathy went 3-4 and drove in one. He singled in the first, fifth, and seventh innings.
Luis Flores struck out six hitters en route to the the Slippery Rock Sliders win. Flores allowed one earned run, four hits and six walks over six innings.
David Kucenic couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Butler Blue Sox, taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
