Sam Coonrod kept the Hannibal Cavemen (12-10) off the board during his six innings of work and the Quincy Gems (13-9) beat the Hannibal Cavemen, 4-2.

Coonrod allowed four hits, two walks and struck out six.

The Quincy Gems held off the Hannibal Cavemen, as the Hannibal Cavemen were unable to overcome a four-run seventh inning deficit.

The Hannibal Cavemen scored on an RBI single by Jonathan Golden in the eighth inning and a sacrifice fly by Jake Wolf in the ninth inning. Still, the Hannibal Cavemen couldn't catch the Quincy Gems.

Zach George reached base three times in the game for the Quincy Gems. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the first inning and homered in the seventh inning.

Kevin Lenkman (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked four, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
