The Butler Blue Sox come from behind to beat the Lorain County Ironmen, 13-8

The Butler Blue Sox (27-14) trailed by four in the fourth, but Jon Danielczyk was able to capture the lead back with a ground out in the seventh, spurring the Butler Blue Sox to a 13-8 win over the Lorain County Ironmen (11-30) at The Pipe Yard on Monday.

With the score tied at eight, grounded out, bringing home Alexander Miklos.

Danielczyk was hot from the plate for the Butler Blue Sox. Danielczyk went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the sixth and ninth innings.

Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 21 total runs and 28 hits during the game. Relief pitchers got their fill of innings during the game, with the opposing managers using eight pitchers in total.

Brendan Costantino had a busy day at the plate, collecting three extra-base hits. He doubled in the second and sixth innings, singled in the seventh innings, and homered in the ninth inning.

Tim Haley looked sharp on the mound. The Lorain County Ironmen managed just one hit off of Haley, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out seven during his four innings of work.

Nicholas Plys ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed three runs.

The Butler Blue Sox hammered the Lorain County Ironmen pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 16 hits, 11 RBIs and 11 runs scored.
