The Lorain County Ironmen need walk-off single to beat the West Virginia Miners, 6-5

A walk-off single from Cody Koch brought home the winning run for the Lorain County Ironmen (8-22) in a 6-5 victory over the West Virginia Miners (21-9) in 10 innings at The Pipe Yard on Saturday.

Koch led the Lorain County Ironmen's offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the third and tenth innings.

Rey Carrion racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Lorain County Ironmen. He homered in the sixth inning and singled in the tenth inning.

Zack Speer improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Lorain County Ironmen. He allowed one run over 1 2/3 innings. Speer struck out four, walked none and gave up three hits.

Hunter Brothers was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
