The Hannibal Cavemen (25-24) weren't able to come back from the big hole they dug themselves into against the Terre Haute Rex (30-19), and the Hannibal Cavemen lost 6-4 to the Terre Haute Rex after falling behind by five runs in the sixth inning.

The Hannibal Cavemen scored on an RBI single by Jake Mangler in the seventh inning and a two-run single by Taylor Kaufman in the eighth inning. Despite their efforts, the Hannibal Cavemen couldn't finish the comeback.

Brett Teschner racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Terre Haute Rex. He singled in the second inning and homered in the fourth inning.

The Terre Haute Rex relied on Nick Cunningham to eat up innings en route to the win. Cunningham allowed one earned run, eight hits and one walk while striking out five over seven innings of work.

The Hannibal Cavemen were led by Ian Sikes's hitting. Sikes went 2-5, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the second inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Jarrett Bednar (0-2) took the loss for the Hannibal Cavemen. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
