Alex Reynolds brought home the go-ahead run to give the Terre Haute Rex (5-4) the lead in the seventh inning, as the Terre Haute Rex hung on to beat the Dubois County Bombers (8-1) 4-1 on Thursday.
After Jacob Hayes, Reynolds came to the plate with two outs in the seventh and doubled, bringing home Hayes.The Dubois County Bombers' lineup had no answer for William Robinson. The Dubois County Bombers managed just three hits off of Robinson, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out five during his five innings of work.
Billy Timmerman got the win, running his season record to 3-1. Timmerman struck out one, walked none and gave up one hit.
Alex Britt was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 7 2/3 innings, walked six, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
