The Quincy Gems (29-21) and the Danville Dans (14-36) both had scoring chances on Thursday, but it was the Quincy Gems that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 6-3 win at Danville Stadium.
The Quincy Gems were led by Aaron Priestes's hitting. Priestes went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the fourth inning and tripled in the sixth inning.
Cody Woodhouse picked up the win for the Quincy Gems. Woodhouse pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, seven hits and two walks while striking out three.
Tyler Fullerton racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Danville Dans. He singled in the fifth inning.
Trevor Fitts (2-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked one and struck out six.
