The Springfield Sliders (19-26) beat the Danville Dans (13-32) 7-1 on Thursday thanks to a two-run ninth inning.

A two-run home run by Mike Fitzgerald Jr. delivered the runs in the ninth. The Springfield Sliders had one hit in the inning.

Fitzgerald Jr. racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Springfield Sliders.

Wade Rothermich picked up the win for the Springfield Sliders. Rothermich pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks while striking out four.

Trevor Fitts (2-3) took the loss for the Danville Dans. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
