The Danville Dans outdone by Kempf and the Terre Haute Rex, 6-2

Kyle Kempf collected three hits, sparking the Terre Haute Rex (10-11) to a 6-2 victory over the Danville Dans (7-14) on Thursday at Danville Stadium.

He singled in the third, seventh, and ninth innings.

Tommy Strunc struck out seven hitters en route to the the Terre Haute Rex win. Strunc allowed two earned runs on six hits and three walks over seven innings.

Bradley Roney racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Danville Dans. He singled in the second inning and homered in the seventh inning.

The Terre Haute Rex couldn't get anything going as long as Matt Frahm was on the mound. The Terre Haute Rex managed just one hit off of the the Danville Dans' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his two innings of work.

Bobby Ruse was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked three, struck out five, and allowed two runs.
