The Quincy Gems (9-5) outlasted the Danville Dans (3-12) on Friday after five lead changes, squeaking out a 8-5 win at Danville Stadium.

Nick Tindall racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Quincy Gems. He homered in the seventh inning and singled in the ninth inning.

The Danville Dans had no answer for Cody Woodhouse, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Danville Dans managed just two hits off of Woodhouse, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out five during his six innings of work.

Bobby Ruse (0-2) took the loss for the Danville Dans. He lasted just four innings, walked four, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
