The Butler Blue Sox (6-7) failed to take advantage of Kyle Petty's effort at the plate on Tuesday, losing 16-4 to the Chillicothe Paints (7-6) at VA Memorial Stadium.

Petty rocked the Chillicothe Paints with two home runs. Petty went 3-4 in the game with two RBIs and two runs scored. Petty homered in the first and sixth innings.

Everything was working at the plate for the the Chillicothe Paints in the fifth. In the inning the Chillicothe Paints scored 11 runs.

Nick Lombardi racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Chillicothe Paints. He homered in the fourth inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Chris Thomas got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He allowed one run over five innings. He struck out five, walked two and surrendered six hits.

Chris Marangon was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed 11 runs in four innings, walked none and struck out two.
