Matt Boyd hopes every outing could go as well as Thursday, as Boyd threw six scoreless innings to carry the Orleans Firebirds (17-11) to a 7-2 victory over the Chatham Anglers (15-13) at Eldredge Park.

Conrad Gregor got on base three times in the game for the Orleans Firebirds. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the second inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Louie Lechich was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
