Spencer Navin clubbed two home runs to carry the Brewster Whitecaps (12-14) to a 10-5 win over the Harwich Mariners (16-10) at Whitehouse Field.
Navin pushed the Brewster Whitecaps ahead, in the sixth inning, and the lead lasted until the final out. With the Brewster Whitecaps trailing by one, Navin came to the plate and homered.
The Harwich Mariners couldn't get anything going as long as Evan Rutter was on the mound. The Harwich Mariners managed just three hits off of the the Brewster Whitecaps' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his three innings of work.
Brian Ragira racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Harwich Mariners. He homered in the third innings.
CK Irby (1-3) took the loss for the Harwich Mariners. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
The Brewster Whitecaps' Ryon Healy, Navin and Tyler Smith combined for six hits and seven RBIs.
