The Bourne Braves (2-8) had a tough outing on Wednesday, as the Wareham Gatemen (5-6) dominated in a 9-1 win at Doran Park.

An RBI single by Kyle Schwarber and a three-run home run by Daniel Palka helped the Wareham Gatemen score four runs in the first. The Wareham Gatemen had three hits in the inning.

Palka racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Wareham Gatemen.

The Bourne Braves couldn't get anything going as long as Brad Kuntz was pitching. The Bourne Braves managed just two hits off of Kuntz, who allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out six during his five innings of work.

Mike Mayers (0-2) took the loss for the Bourne Braves. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out six, and allowed four runs.
