Derek Campbell put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Brewster Whitecaps. He homered in the first inning, doubled in the seventh inning, and singled in the fifth and eighth innings.
Austin Voth baffled the Wareham Gatemen, striking out seven batters. Voth allowed no earned runs, three hits and no walks over four innings.
Jake Kalish improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Brewster Whitecaps. He allowed one run over two innings. Kalish struck out none, walked one and gave up two hits.
Kurt McCune ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in four innings, walked two and struck out five.
The Brewster Whitecaps pounded the Wareham Gatemen pitching, as six hitters combined for 14 hits, 10 RBIs and 11 runs scored.
