Stephen Sauer threw a shutout to lift the Windy City ThunderBolts (35-23) to a 3-0 win over the Schaumburg Boomers (34-25) at Standard Bank Stadium.

The Windy City ThunderBolts' Sauer kept the Schaumburg Boomers off the scoreboard for all nine innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on four hits while striking out eight.

Chad Cregar racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Windy City ThunderBolts. He singled in the first inning and homered in the sixth inning.

Robby Donovan (6-3) took the loss for the Schaumburg Boomers. He lasted just eight innings, walked two, struck out nine, and allowed three runs.
