The Washington Wild Things (20-32) scored five runs in the eighth to cap a 12-1 win over the Evansville Otters (23-30) on Tuesday.

Shain Stoner racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Washington Wild Things. He singled in the seventh inning and homered in the eighth inning.

Eric Blackwell got the win for the Washington Wild Things thanks to seven strikeouts. Blackwell allowed one earned run, three hits and two walks over seven innings.

Matt Crim couldn't get it done on the hill for the Evansville Otters, taking a loss. He lasted just 6 2/3 innings, walked four, struck out five, and allowed five runs.
