Jacob Liedka held the Washington Wild Things (8-11) scoreless for six innings to boost the Normal CornBelters (5-13) to a 4-0 victory.

Liedka struck out six and allowed no walks and two hits.

Steven Felix put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Normal CornBelters. He doubled in the second inning, homered in the fourth inning, and singled in the sixth inning.

Casey Barnes (1-1) took the loss for the Washington Wild Things. He lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out six, and allowed three runs.

The Normal CornBelters were sparked by Felix and Jordan Stouffer, who teamed up for five hits and two RBIs.
