The Rockford RiverHawks (11-18) had a tough outing on Tuesday, as the Gateway Grizzlies (16-14) dominated in a 9-3 win at RiverHawks Stadium.
A home run by Landon Hernandez helped the Gateway Grizzlies score four runs in the first. The Gateway Grizzlies had three hits in the inning.
Hernandez racked up six RBIs on two hits for the Gateway Grizzlies.
Patrick Arnold got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He allowed three runs over six innings. Arnold struck out two, walked three and gave up six hits.
Jordan Liette was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
