The Rockford RiverHawks (9-13) beat the Windy City ThunderBolts (12-9) 3-1 on Tuesday at RiverHawks Stadium behind Evan Button, who collected three hits.

Mike Lee's seven strikeouts were enough to push the Rockford RiverHawks past the Windy City ThunderBolts. Lee allowed one earned run on four hits and one walk over six innings.

Stephen Sauer was effective even in defeat, mowing down seven the Rockford RiverHawks batters and allowing three runs.

It was a good day at the plate for the Windy City ThunderBolts' Brandon Decker. Decker went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fourth inning.

Sauer ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year.
