Cody Griebling kept the River City Rascals (34-39) off the board during his seven innings of work and the Schaumburg Boomers (42-31) beat the River City Rascals, 4-0.

Griebling struck out four and allowed one walk and seven hits.

Steve McQuail was hot from the plate for the Schaumburg Boomers. McQuail went 2-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fourth inning and homered in the eighth inning.

The River City Rascals were led by a flawless day at the dish by Chris Andreas, who went 2-2 against the Schaumburg Boomers' pitching. He singled in the second and fourth innings.

Tony Marsala couldn't get it done on the bump for the River City Rascals, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
