The River City Rascals (21-14) and the Normal CornBelters (13-20) volleyed the lead five times on Sunday, but the River City Rascals came out on top for a 8-4 win on Sunday at T. R. Hughes Ballpark.

Doug Sanders racked up two RBIs on two hits for the River City Rascals. He singled in the fifth inning and homered in the sixth inning.

Justin Gill had an impressive outing against the Normal CornBelters' lineup. Gill held the Normal CornBelters hitless over 2 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Pat Trettel racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Normal CornBelters. He singled in the fourth inning and homered in the sixth inning.

Josh Joseph couldn't get it done on the mound for the Normal CornBelters, taking a loss. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
