A walk-off sacrifice fly from Adrian Ortiz brought home the winning run for the Lake Erie Crushers (51-39) in a 4-3 victory over the Traverse City Beach Bums in 12 innings at All Pro Freight Stadium on Sunday.

Jason Taylor reached base four times in the game for the Lake Erie Crushers. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the twelfth inning.

Jonathan Kountis brought the heat against the Traverse City Beach Bums (60-30) during his outing. Kountis held the Traverse City Beach Bums hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Matt Smith got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Smith struck out two, walked none and gave up one hit.

Matt Miller ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
