The Traverse City Beach Bums (55-29) took the last of four lead changes in a back-and-forth affair against the River City Rascals (40-44), securing a 6-2 victory on Sunday at Wuerfel Park.

The Traverse City Beach Bums took the lead in the seventh inning and held on for the victory. A groundout by Marcus Nidiffer scored Kyle Colligan and Sean Gusrang and gave the Traverse City Beach Bums the lead for good.

It was a good day at the plate for the Traverse City Beach Bums' Jeff Flagg. Flagg went 1-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He homered in the fourth inning.

Reid Kelly allowed two earned runs, four hits and three walks while striking out five over 6 2/3 innings of work.

Matt Miller got the win, running his season record to 6-3. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered two hits.

Justin Sarratt was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
