The Traverse City Beach Bums (44-27) built an early edge on Saturday, but the Southern Illinois Miners (42-29) roared back to steal a 5-1 victory at Wuerfel Park.

While the Traverse City Beach Bums led until the fifth inning, the Southern Illinois Miners worked their way back and took the lead on a sacrifice fly by Cory Harrilchak.

Cannon Lester racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Southern Illinois Miners. He singled in the fifth and eighth innings.

David Harden picked up the win for the Southern Illinois Miners. Harden allowed one earned run, six hits and two walks while striking out five over seven innings of work.

Scott Dunn (3-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
