Saturday was a great day for Reid Kelly, as Kelly tossed a shutout to carry the Traverse City Beach Bums (46-27) to a 9-0 victory over the London Rippers at Wuerfel Park.

The Traverse City Beach Bums' Kelly kept the London Rippers (25-35) off the scoreboard for all nine innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out nine.

Jeff Flagg rocked the London Rippers with two home runs. Flagg went 2-4 in the game with four RBIs and two runs scored. Flagg homered in the fourth and fifth innings.

The Traverse City Beach Bums' bats came to life in the fifth inning. The London Rippers had no answer as the Traverse City Beach Bums scored five runs.

Sheng-An Kuo (0-5) took the loss for the London Rippers. He lasted just four innings, walked five, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
