The Florence Freedom (45-38) took the last of four lead changes in a back-and-forth affair against the Southern Illinois Miners (49-33), securing a 7-5 victory on Saturday at Home of the Florence Freedom.
The Florence Freedom pulled out the win thanks to a strong fifth inning. A sacrifice fly by Kyle Bluestein scored David Harris and Jose Velazquez and gave the Florence Freedom the lead for good.
Eddie Rodriguez racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Florence Freedom. He homered in the first inning and singled in the seventh inning.
