The Traverse City Beach Bums come from behind to beat the Evansville Otters, 7-6

Things looked bleak for the Traverse City Beach Bums (46-27) when they trailed by four runs in the sixth inning, but the Traverse City Beach Bums recovered thanks to a key single in the eighth inning from Kyle Eveland to pull out a 7-6 win over the Evansville Otters (35-38) at Bosse Field.

With the score tied at five in the eighth inning, Eveland came to the plate and singled, bringing home Marcus Nidiffer.

Eveland racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He homered in the third inning, doubled in the sixth inning, and singled in the eighth inning.

The Traverse City Beach Bums would not relinquish the lead as the Evansville Otters were unable to weather a two-run eighth inning deficit.

The Evansville Otters scored one run in the eighth on an RBI single by Patrick Crider. Despite their efforts, the Evansville Otters couldn't finish the comeback.

Scott Dunn improved to 4-3 on the year by picking up the win for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered no hits.

David Kubiak (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
