The London Rippers (25-35) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 5-4 to the River City Rascals (34-39) on Thursday.

The River City Rascals took the lead in the fourth inning on a groundout by Matt Serna.

The River City Rascals were led by Curran Redal's hitting. Redal went 3-4 and scored one run. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the fourth and eighth innings.

Justin Edwards improved to 1-2 on the year by picking up the win for the River City Rascals. He allowed four runs over six innings. He struck out nine, walked two and surrendered seven hits.

Sheng-An Kuo couldn't get it done on the bump for the London Rippers, taking a loss. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked five, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
