The Mystic Schooners (8-31) and the Vermont Mountaineers (17-21) passed the lead back and forth four times on Monday at Montpelier Recreation Field, but in the end the Mystic Schooners pulled out a 6-5 win over the Vermont Mountaineers.

Gregory Porter racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Mystic Schooners. He homered in the second inning and singled in the fifth inning.

PJ Jones was solid at the plate for the Vermont Mountaineers. Jones went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the ninth inning.

AJ Rataic improved to 4-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Mystic Schooners. He allowed one run over three innings. Rataic struck out one, walked one and gave up three hits.

Casey Delgado (2-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just three innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
