The Keene Swamp Bats top the Danbury Westerners in back-and-forth affair, 9-7

The Keene Swamp Bats (27-12) and the Danbury Westerners (22-16) traded the lead three times on Monday, but the Keene Swamp Bats ended up on top with a 9-7 win over the Danbury Westerners.

Mike Papi racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Keene Swamp Bats. He homered in the second inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Ryan Horstman had an impressive outing against the Danbury Westerners' lineup. Horstman gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out six during his 3 1/3 innings of work.

Daniel Spingola racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Danbury Westerners. He singled in the second inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Zachary Tax was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
