Kyle Mullen kept the Sanford Mainers (10-18) off the board during his seven innings of work and the Laconia Muskrats (13-21) beat the Sanford Mainers, 8-0.
Mullen allowed one hit, seven walks and struck out six.
Five runs in the opening three innings allowed the Laconia Muskrats to easily put away the Sanford Mainers. An RBI single by Vincente Conde, an RBI single by Donny Duschinsky, and an RBI double by Kyle Convissar during the first inning and a solo home run by John Ziznewski in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Laconia Muskrats.
It was a good day at the plate for the Laconia Muskrats' Corey Stringer. Stringer went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the eighth innings.
Tripp Davis (2-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked none and struck out six.
