Brett Houseal kept the Vermont Mountaineers (12-16) off the board during his seven innings of work and the Danbury Westerners (16-14) beat the Vermont Mountaineers, 9-3.
Houseal allowed five hits, no walks and struck out two.

Zach Shank racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Danbury Westerners. He singled in the first and third innings and homered in the fourth inning.
Matt Dearden ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked two and struck out three.
