The Keene Swamp Bats come from behind to beat the Danbury Westerners, 6-5

A loss looked likely for the Keene Swamp Bats (17-4) when they trailed by four runs in the eighth inning, but the Keene Swamp Bats were able to capture the lead back with a an RBI single by Frankie Schwindel in the twelfth inning, spurring the Keene Swamp Bats to a 6-5 win over the Danbury Westerners (10-12) at Alumni Field, Keene,NH on Thursday.

With the score tied at five, Schwindel came to the plate and singled, scoring Dylan DelaCruz.

JP Sportman racked up four RBIs on four hits for the Keene Swamp Bats. He homered in the eighth inning and singled in the first, third, and twelfth innings.

The Danbury Westerners' lineup had no answer for Kyle Gehrs. Gehrs held the Danbury Westerners hitless over 2 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out five.

Rob Rogers improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Keene Swamp Bats. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Zachary Tax was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just zero innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
