An ace performance by Rob Dittrick carried the Corvallis Knights (29-21) to a 2-1 win over the Cowlitz Black Bears (23-27) on Saturday at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field.

Dittrick picked up the win for the Corvallis Knights. Dittrick pitched eight innings and allowed no earned runs, three hits and no walks while striking out five.

The Corvallis Knights would not relinquish the lead as the Cowlitz Black Bears were unable to weather a two-run sixth inning deficit.

The Cowlitz Black Bears scored one run in the eighth on an error. Despite their efforts, the Cowlitz Black Bears couldn't get over the hump.

Caleb Whalen got on base three times in the game for the Corvallis Knights. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning.

Cody Rogina ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked four, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
