The Bellingham Bells (31-20) didn't have a chance on Friday, as the Kelowna Falcons (28-26) won in blowout fashion, 8-2 at Joe Martin Field.
The Kelowna Falcons scored three runs in the sixth on an RBI single by Troy Conyers, an RBI single by Patrick Johnson, and a sacrifice fly by Tyler Qualls.
Johnson racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Kelowna Falcons.
Tyler Hoelzen got the win for the Kelowna Falcons thanks to six strikeouts. Hoelzen allowed no earned runs, five hits and two walks over 5 2/3 innings.
Joe Winterburn did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Bellingham Bells, reaching base three times. He singled in the third and eighth innings.
Sean Hartnett ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
