The Walla Walla Sweets fend off the Wenatchee AppleSox's late push, hold on 3-2

The Wenatchee AppleSox (27-14) weren't able to overcome the big hole they dug themselves into against the Walla Walla Sweets (18-24), and the Wenatchee AppleSox lost 3-2 to the Walla Walla Sweets after falling behind by two runs in the fifth inning.

The Wenatchee AppleSox scored one run in the ninth on an RBI single by Tyler Schultz. Despite their efforts, the Wenatchee AppleSox couldn't get over the hump.

Kalani Brackenridge was hot from the plate for the Walla Walla Sweets. Brackenridge went 2-3 and scored one run. He tripled in the third inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Joe Arlt brought the heat against the Wenatchee AppleSox during his outing. The Wenatchee AppleSox managed just one hit off of the the Walla Walla Sweets' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his three innings of work.

Arturo Reyes improved to 4-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Walla Walla Sweets. He allowed one run over five innings. Reyes struck out three, walked none and gave up four hits.

Trevor Lubking (2-1) took the loss for the Wenatchee AppleSox. He lasted just 6 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
