The Kelowna Falcons (24-19) came out firing, but couldn't hang on to the lead, ending up on the losing side of a 2-1 ballgame against the Bellingham Bells (26-15) on Thursday at Joe Martin Field.
While the Kelowna Falcons led until the sixth inning, the Bellingham Bells worked their way back and took the lead on a sacrifice fly by Jarel Lewis.
Grant Fink did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Bellingham Bells, reaching base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the fourth inning.
Jared Fisher's eight strikeouts were enough to push the Bellingham Bells past the Kelowna Falcons. Fisher allowed one earned run, six hits and two walks over seven innings.
Brandon Marris (7-1) took the loss for the Kelowna Falcons. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked five, struck out five, and allowed two runs.
