The Corvallis Knights (24-20) pounded the Klamath Falls Gems (21-21) on Thursday 10-1 at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field.
The Corvallis Knights scored three runs in the fifth on a two-run triple by Connor Hofmann and a sacrifice fly by Chris Rabago.
Nick Torres had two extra-base hits for the Corvallis Knights. He singled in the third innings and doubled in the second and sixth innings.
Bryan Granger brought the heat against the Klamath Falls Gems during his outing. The Klamath Falls Gems managed just two hits off of Granger, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out three during his five innings of work.
Mitch Merten was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
Torres, Hofmann, Marc Gallegos and Nate Esposito helped lead the Corvallis Knights. They combined for nine hits and six RBIs.
