Derek Atkinson went 2-3 as the Bellingham Bells (25-15) took home a 4-2 victory over the Kelowna Falcons (24-18) at Joe Martin Field on Wednesday.
He singled in the second inning and doubled in the seventh inning.The Bellingham Bells got the win thanks in large part to Adam Gunn's dominant, seven-strikeout performance. Gunn allowed two earned runs on six hits and one walk over seven innings.
Tucker Alexander reached base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the third inning.
David Cagle had an impressive outing against the Bellingham Bells' lineup. Cagle held the Bellingham Bells hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
Cale Coshow couldn't get it done on the mound for the Kelowna Falcons, taking a loss. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
