The Corvallis Knights get on top of the Kelowna Falcons early but can't hang on in 3-1 loss

The Corvallis Knights (23-19) built an early edge on Saturday, but the Kelowna Falcons (24-17) roared back to steal a 3-1 victory at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field.

The Kelowna Falcons took the lead in the sixth inning on an RBI single by Kyle Moses.

Jace Conrad had two extra-base hits for the Kelowna Falcons. He doubled in the fifth inning and tripled in the seventh inning.

The Corvallis Knights couldn't get anything going as long as Phil Maton was pitching. Maton held the Corvallis Knights hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

A bright spot for the Corvallis Knights in the defeat was A.J. Burke, who allowed only one run while striking out five.

Conrad recorded his first win of the year for the Kelowna Falcons. He allowed one run over five innings. He struck out four, walked two and surrendered five hits.

Taylor Starr couldn't get it done on the hill for the Corvallis Knights, taking a loss. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
