Taylor Sparks went 1-4 and hit a home run, sparking the Wenatchee AppleSox (26-11) to a 6-2 victory over the Cowlitz Black Bears (17-21) on Friday at Story Field.

Brian McAfee had an impressive outing against the Wenatchee AppleSox's lineup. McAfee held the Wenatchee AppleSox hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.
Derek Callahan improved to 4-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Wenatchee AppleSox. He allowed one run over six innings. Callahan struck out one, walked one and gave up four hits.
Felipe Perez (1-3) took the loss for the Cowlitz Black Bears. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
