A great effort by Brandon Marris carried the Kelowna Falcons (21-16) to a 5-0 win over the Bellingham Bells on Wednesday at Elks Stadium.
The Kelowna Falcons' Marris kept the Bellingham Bells (22-14) off the scoreboard for all nine innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on five hits while ringing up four.
Brock Slavin paced the Kelowna Falcons at the plate. Slavin went 2-2, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the third and seventh innings.
Sean Hartnett pitched six innings and allowed two earned runs, four hits and no walks while striking out four.
Hartnett ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year.
